How to read an HPLC chromatogram for peptide purity

A lot of people in the community get COAs from vendors but don't know how to read them. Here's a quick guide: Look for a single dominant peak at the expected retention time. The area under that peak (as % of total area) is your purity. Any peaks before or after the main peak are impurities/degradation products. A good COA will show >95% purity with minimal secondary peaks.

Great post. I'd add: check that the COA has a lot number that matches your vial, and that the testing was done by an accredited lab, not in-house by the vendor. Some vendors fake their COAs.

100% agree on accredited labs. I've seen 'COAs' that were clearly photoshopped — inconsistent fonts, no lab letterhead, no analyst signature. Red flags everywhere.

Are there affordable third-party testing options? I've seen prices from $150-400 per test which adds up fast.

Group buys are the way to go. Several forums organize batch testing where 5-10 people split the cost. $40-80 per person for peace of mind is worth it.

Same here! I had the exact same experience at 7.5mg. The nausea peaked around week 2 and then gradually improved. Hnag in there, it gets better.

Thanks for sharing this. Really helpful.
