Survodutide Phase 3 — 19% weight loss and MASH results

Boehringer Ingelheim's survodutide (GLP-1/glucagon dual agonist) is in Phase 3 for both obesity and MASH (metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis). The glucagon receptor agonism directly targets liver fat, which could make it superior to GLP-1-only drugs for fatty liver disease. Phase 2 showed 19% weight loss at 46 weeks.

The MASH angle is huge. There are no approved treatments for MASH right now. If survodutide can show liver histology improvement, it could be a blockbuster for that indication alone.

Interesting, I had the opposite experience. Mounjaro gave me worse side effects than Wegovy. Everyone's different I guess. What dose are you on?
