Holding my goal weight two years in, and now curious about TRT

I hit my goal about 14 months ago — 61 pounds down from my peak — and maintenance has been mostly boring, which I've learned to appreciate. Lifting three mornings a week, walking after dinner, sleep tracking every night.

The thing I didn't expect: once the weight stuff settled, my attention drifted to the hormone stuff. I'm 39. Energy has felt flat since roughly November, and I keep seeing TRT and sermorelin mentioned like they're the natural next chapter after GLP-1. My labs came back low-normal, nothing flagged. My PCP sent a referral to an endocrinologist, and I'm on a wait list until spring.

Meanwhile I caught myself reading peptide forums at midnight, which is exactly the pattern that used to walk me into bad decisions. So I've parked it. Sleep study first, iron and thyroid checked, then a real conversation with someone who knows my history. If the endo says my numbers are fine, I'd rather be a little tired than chase a fix that isn't mine.

Anyone else in maintenance who went down this road — how did you decide it was worth pursuing versus just noise?

two kids and 39 here. Before I’d blame hormones, I’d run a boring two-week experiment: same bedtime, protein at breakfast and lunch, no afternoon snack-drawer raid, and log energy 1–10 at 7am, 2pm, 8pm pus sleep awake time. My “low T” phase was really 6.5 broken hours and under-eating at lunch. Weekends with no alarm were the tell. If your tracking already shows solid sleep and food and you still feel flat, that’s a better conversation to have with a doctor. What does your sleep tracker say about actual awake time vs. time in bed?

Welcome to the weird phase where the scale gets boring and hormones get interesting. I’m about three years in, 58 down, and around 40 I went down the same rabbit hole. What snapped me out of it was sleep quality vs. quantity — my tracker showed 7 hours, but only ~5.5 actual, and I was still eating like I was cutting. The old “maintenance is a mind game” thread covered this. Has your sleep tracking shown real sleep, or just time in bed? That was the tell for me before I blamed anything hormonal.
