Reading the peptide news for the paperwork, not the molecule

I'm a few years past goal now and mostly lurk here, but that recent batch of enforcement news got me reading past the headlines.

What struck me isn't the obvious part. It's how little the coverage says about what those actions actually turn on — public claims made on websites, not necessarily what's in anyone's hands. Two different things, and most write-ups blend them into one blurry story.

I'll own my bias here. Before GLP-1, I spent about two years chasing supplements, and I still have that spreadsheet. Forty-one entries. Nine listed a purity percentage. Zero named a lab I could have called. At the time it felt like documentation because the product page looked official.

That's the piece I keep coming back to. The interesting question isn't whether a given compound is good or bad. It's that in this whole category, the paper trail people trust is often just the sales page talking about itself.

Not trying to spook anyone out of a conversation. Just noting that these actions seem to be about evidence standards more than about any single molecule.

Anyone else read them that way?
