For what it's worth, I tweaked my elbow tendon about 10 weeks ago — not terrible, but it still aches after pull days and even when I grip a coffee mug. I’ve been doing the boring stuff: 2x/week light eccentric work, sleep 7–7.5 hrs, protein around 130g. I keep seeing BPC-157/TB-500 and KPV come up as a recovery/inflammation stack, and mechanism-wise it sounds neat, but in the trials I can actually find the human data is thin and mixed. I’m not against trying things, but I’m wary of turning a 10-week nuisance into a bigger experiment. For those who’ve gone down this path, did any of it seem to help beyond time and rehab, or was it mostly expensive placebo? Just trying to keep my expectations calibrated.
Stubborn elbow tendon and the peptide rabbit hole
newish here too, so take this as a nervous lurker question rather than wisdom. I’ve had a cranky elbow from climbing, and tracking when it aches helped me more than I expected — mine flares with mouse work plus pull days, not just lifting. I log pain 0–10 the next morning, sleep, protein, and whether I usd a fat mug vs regular. The pattern surprised me. Sharp follow-up: does your ache change if you switch to a thicker-handled mug or use your other hand for a few days? That BPC/KPV rabbit hole scares me a bit, so I’m just reading everyone’s tracking notes.
I went down that same peptide rabbit hole after my golfer’s elbow, and what actually helped me was tracking all-day grip loads, not just pull days. I kept a notes app for two weeks: every ache got a timestamp and what I’d done before—carrying the 40-lb dog food bucket, death-gripping my mouse, even wringing out laundry. Pull days were fine; the dumb stuff was the trigger. Have you tracked non-gym stuff like that? Also, has anyone checked your neck/shoulder? Mine was grumpy
