night shift here. 7p to 7a, three or four nights a week.
Started at 263 in February. 227 this morning. That's 36. Not fast. But it's holding, and I'm not white-knuckling it.
What changed: I eat a real meal at 6pm before I leave the house. I pack one small thing for the shift. Then I stop. The 2am cafeteria run was never hunger, it was boredom with a badge.
Black coffee. A water bottle I actually refill. Parking garage stairs on break, 15 minutes, twice a week if I'm honest about it.
Weird part: my weight lags behind my sleep. Rough night, scale jumps, then drops two days later. I weigh after I wake up, whenever that is. Took me months to stop panicking over that.
Anyone else on nights see the number trail your sleep by a day or two?
