One year in, testosterone is the part I underthought

I’m about a month away from the one-year mark on retatrutide, and I’ve been holding my goal range for five months. During the losing phase I tracked protein, steps, and sleep, but I treated testosterone like a background tab I’d get to eventually.

My doctor ran it at my annual visit; total T came back low-normal, free T on the lower side, and we’re repeating it in spring rather than changing anything yet. Honestly, the bigger clue was behavioral: weeks when I lift twice and get 7+ hours of sleep, my morning energy is noticeably better than weeks when I don’t.

I’m not trying to turn every tired Tuesday into a hormone crisis, but I also don’t want to shrug off something that might be worth a real conversation. For the maintenance folks here, how do you decide when a dip in energy or drive is just life versus something to bring to your doctor?
