Tbh i did the thing I’ve warned others about in the travel-case threads: Monday at 6:15 I pulled the blue-capped pen instead of the one I keep in the kitchen caddy, because I was already thinking about a 9 a.m. call.
I noticed maybe a minute later when I went to put it back and the case slot was wrong. I didn’t spiral.
I made tea, sat on the floor with the dog, and wrote a four-line note — time, which pen, how I felt, what I’d eaten. Then I reread my own post from last spring about the week I mixed up my refill pickup days, and it reminded me that one messy morning is not a pattern.
I checked in with my clinician because that’s my normal habit, and the rest of the day was mostly ordinary: a walk, leftover soup, an early bedtime. I moved the travel case to the top shelf afterward.
Not exciting, just the long-view version.
