I bought a cheap fridge thermometer because my prepped lunches were tasting off, and the middle shelf reads 46 while the door display has claimed 38 for as long as I can remember. So the yogurt, boiled eggs, and chicken I leaned on all week were sitting warmer than I assumed. That does not explain everything. My morning weigh-ins have been flat for 24 days, and I am still logging, walking after dinner, and keeping protein high. But it does explain why a few meals felt weird and why I kept second-guessing portions. I moved the thermometer around: back corner 41, top shelf 44, crisper 43. The dial is basically decorative. I am annoyed because I spent energy optimizing snacks while the actual fridge was the weak link. Anyone else find a dumb kitchen variable undercutting the routine?
