There was a thread a while back about non-scale victories where someone mentioned noticing their own breath on stairs. That stuck with me more than the tape measure stuff. For the last couple years my benchmark has been the four flights up to the conference room at work. I used to do a little pause-and-pretend-to-check-my-phone move on the third landing. Not dramatic, just an autopilot rest. Yesterday I got to the top and realized I'd been answering a Slack message the whole way up and never stopped moving. No breathlessness, no leaning on the rail. I just walked and talked. It wasn't a triumphant moment or anything. It was more like noticing a habit had quietly retired itself. I sat down and thought about how many little workarounds I'd built over the years without labeling them as workarounds. Anyone else have a tiny daily thing that stopped requiring a plan? Not looking for a big win, just curious what retired itself for you.
A non-scale thing I stopped noticing, then noticed again
