Eleven months of two-line notes changed my afternoons

I started writing two lines a day: hunger 1–5 and what I was actually feeling before I ate. No calorie math, no big overhaul. Around month seven I noticed my worst window was 3–5 p.m., especially after nights I’d woken up at 2 or 3 a.m. I’d assumed it was the GLP-1 fading, but it tracked much more with crummy sleep and skipping lunch. That was oddly calming. Now I keep a protein snack where I can see it, take a ten-minute walk before I decide I’m 'starving,' and ask myself whether I want food or a break. Down 44 pounds, but the more useful win is trusting the difference between real hunger and that wired, tired feeling. Has anyone else found a body signal that surprised you more than the scale did?
