I started a daily weight tab on Jan 9 and a separate tab for the 28-day average. Sixteen weeks later the raw number is down 5.8 lb. That’s 0.36 lb/week, which feels insultingly slow compared with the stories that get posted here. My 28-day slope is also negative, just shallow: about 0.31 lb/week when I trim the two travel weekends. I’m not thrilled. I am also not stopping, because the direction has held through birthdays, a work deadline, and one very salty ramen night. The weird part is that the slow pace has made me more consistent: same breakfast, same two walk slots, same Sunday log review. I don’t feel like a success story; I feel like a person with a boring line and decent adherence. For the other slow losers: what do you track when the weekly number is too noisy to trust?
