Monday I was 211.4, Tuesday 210.9, Wednesday 212.1 after a salty soup dinner, and Thursday 210.6. That Thursday was the day my daily number landed at the exact middle of the total I set out to lose.
No whoosh, no dramatic morning. I made coffee, logged it, and watched the seven-day average drop another 0.3 from last week.
I still did my usual 20-minute walk after lunch, ate leftovers, and went to bed early. The scale pinballed all week, but the trend line stayed boring in the best way.
I keep reminding myself that the middle of anything is usually just a normal day where you show up. If you're in a jagged stretch, this is your sign that the average can keep moving while the daily numbers act silly.
Did your midpoint feel anticlimactic too?
