I set up a dumb little experiment: same spot, same light, same dead-eyed expression, one photo set every four weeks. For the firt three months the scale dropped 18 lbs and the photos showed basically nothing. My brain filed that as a bug. Month four, neck and jawline changed before the midsection. Month six, the midsection finally followed. So the camera roll is a lagging indicator, not a scoreboard. Now I track weight daily, tape every two weeks, photos monthly. Only the tape and photos get to make long-term calls; the scale just supplies noise for the dashboard. The optimization was not adding more data. It was assigning each data source a different job. Anyone else running a delayed visual check so the daily number stops pretending it is the whole story?
My monthly photos lag the scale by about four weeks
