Prednisone curveball during Mounjaro maintenance: scale moved, appetite too

i've been in maintenance for about 14 months after losing on Mounjaro, and I keep a boring 5-pound window. Last month I had to take a short prednisone course for an asthma flare. By day three my appetite was noticeably louder and the scale was up 4.6 pounds. My first instinct was panic — like the old food noise had moved back in for good. But my energy was normal, my usual walks felt the same, and I was drinking more water than usual. I didn't start cutting calories or making panic tweaks; I kept my normal protein, movement, and sleep, and checked in with my doctor. It settled back down over the next week or so. The medication was temporary. The maintenance habits are what stayed. For anyone who's had a steroid burst while on a GLP-1, how do you tell a temporary medication bump from a real regain trend without spiraling?

I had a similar curveball with a steroid burst for a flare last fall. I kept logging but switched my focus to a 7-day median instead of daily numbers, plus morning waist and ring fit. The scale jumped ~3 lb by day two, appetite was loud, then both settled about a week after the last dose. My 5-lb window survived. How many days out from the course are you? If you’re still in the first week post-steroid, I’d treat that 4.6 as noise and watch the trend, not the single weigh-in.
