The scale lags; my 9pm hunger score leads

Current state: 85.9 kg, down 8.2 since January. I log five things daily: weight, protein, steps, sleep, and a 1–5 hunger score at 4pm and 9pm. The scale is noisy and mostly tells me what I did last week. The 9pm hunger score is the leading indicator. When it creeps above 3, I stop negotiating with the kitchen and add a planned protein snack around 5pm. Not exciting, but it removes a decision. Gym is down to two lifts and three walks because consistency beats heroic weeks. The system is boring, which is probably why it works. Anyone else tracking an early-warning number instead of just the weekly weigh-in?
