Travel with tirzepatide — tips for long trips

Going on a 17-week trip abroad. How do you handle storing tirz without refrigeration for extended periods? I've heard it's stable at room temp for a while but I'm paranoid. Any travel cases or cooling solutions you recommend?

Following because I'm in the same boat. Week 20, 7.5mg, and the plateau is real. I'm trying to be patient but it's frustrating.

For long trips I use one of those small insulin travel cases with a gel pack — keeps things cool through a travel day without looking like medical gear at airports. Never had an issue with TSA either; a printed prescription label helps.

For protein, I do two shakes a day (30g each) plus Greek yogurt. Even with zero appetite, liquids are easier to get down than solid food. That gets me to about 120g which is close to my target.

I aim for a protein target first and let everything else fall where it falls — usually two Greek yogurts and a bar get me most of the way. On sema I have to treat protein like medicine: schedule it, or it doesn't happen.

Did you get a COA with your order? I've been looking at this vendor but want to verify quality first. How long did shipping take?

This is so relatable. I'm on week 4 and feeling the same way. The food noise disappearing was the most surprising patr for me too. I didn't even know I had it until it was gone.

The room-temp stability question comes up a lot — from what I've read, most GLP-1s are fine out of the fridge for a while (the prescribing info for the brand versions states how long), but 'a while' isn't 'an entire trip'. I'd split the supply: one vial in the cool case, backup in the hotel fridge.

Same situation, different numbers — the plateau is real and it's maddening. What finally broke mine was accepting the maintenance math: the loss rate slowing down is the med doing its job, not failing at it. Easier said than believed at 6am on a scale morning, I know.

Mine arrived with a COA that looked suspiciously generic — same batch number as the last order months apart, which is not how batches work. Sent a sample out for independent testing anyway. Waiting on results, will post numbers when I have them.

I got my COA from the vendor but also sent a sample to an independent lab for verification. Both matched — 99.7% purity. If you're spending that much, the extra $50 for testing is worth it.

This gives me hope. Thank you.

Yes! I noticed the exact same thing. Switched from sema to tirz and the difference in side effects was night and day. Tirz is much smoother for me.

I could have written this post. Down 23 lbs in a similar timeframe. The mental shift is bigger than the physical one, honestly. I feel like a different person.
