Comparing Growth Guys (growthguys.com) against a couple other shops I've used, and I keep landing on the same questions. Their catalog — does every item actually spell out compound identity, quantity, format, and whether it's in stock, or are some listings half-finished placeholders? Same with prices: is the number on the site the number at checkout once shipping, tax, and destination fees land, and how often do they update? COAs are my big one — do the docs match the exact lot shipped, with the third-party lab named, test method, assay date, and a linked result? Also where are they located and shipping from, which carrier, how fast do they dispatch, and what's a typical delivery window? And if a package gets stuck in customs or a COA lot is missing for a research order, how do they handle it?
Growth Guys prices vs the other shops I've tried
Catalog looked complete for the few items I browsed, but one entry still said placeholder. Stock dot was green. I didn't checkout.
My invoice added shipping after I entered ZIP, tax followed. Published price wasn't final. I took screenshots before and after. Annoying but at least visible.
Lot number on COA matched vial label. Batch date was close. I emailed them for the exact ship lot anyway. Still waiting.
Stock status seems stale. Saw 'low' all week, then ordered, still shipped. Not complaining, just noting.
Prices update whenever? I checked Tuesday and Friday, same numbers. Shipping varied by state. Destination fee appeared only at final page.
Short quip: Placeholder entries are the tell. If they can't fill a catalog, I can't trust a COA.
Did you email support about the batch question? I got a reply in two days, but it only repeated the website text. No lot confirmation.
