Before I jump into a group buy, I’m poking around Swolverine (swolverine.com) using what I can find online: their listed catalog, published prices, shipping info, and COA docs. A few things I’d want nailed down. Are the COAs batch-specific, independently generated, and searchable by lot number, with lab name and test method listed? Does each catalog item list purity, quantity, form, and storage requirements, or just names and published prices? For shipping, what are the origins, carriers, delivery windows, temperature-control options, and international customs policies? Are published prices current and do they include shipping, taxes, and any documentation or handling fees? Where is Swolverine located or operated, and can they provide verifiable quality/identity documentation for every catalog item? Not trying to dunk on them—just want the facts straight before spending.
Swolverine order experiences lately, share yours
Anyone know if Swolverine ships domestic or overseas? Trying to gauge typical transit times before I order.
Do they post batch-specific COAs, or just a generic PDF? I’d want to see the lot number match the vial.
Prices look mid-tier until you add shipping. Anyone got a recent order total breakdown?
Not calling them bad, but the site copy is a little too polished. Has anyone actually gotten a tracking number this month?
I’d buy just to see if the packaging is as swole as the name. My wallet says no.
Watching this. Curious to see if people get packs or just crickets.
International shipping? Customs notes? Not asking for a friend, asking for my anxiety.
Any restock ETA on the popular sizes? Also, do they do crypto discounts or is card the only option?
Concrete ask for the group buy organizer: photo of the lot code on the actual tub, then match it to the COA before anyone sends money. I keep a spreadsheet of lot codes and order dates for bulk buys—boring, but it catches “generic current batch” PDFs. If the report lacks an ISO 17025 lab accreditation number, I file
The lot-code photo ask is smart—no pic, no group-buy peace for me lol.
only thing i’d tack on: ask if the COA actually lists heavy metals + micros or just identity/purity. a lot of “batch-specific” docs are basically one page and done. i keep a cursed little spreadsheet per tub—order date, lot, flavor, mixability, and whether it clumps after a week—mostly so i don’t rebuy chalk. anyone else see recent lots with a loose inner seal? not drama, just batch-vibe checking before i throw money at a group buy.
One thing I’d add to the group-buy checklist: ask for the ship-from ZIP and carrier, and whether orders leave their own warehouse or a 3PL. I’ve had orders sit at “label created” for days while the carrier scans told a different story. Also, does the COA include a retest/expiry date, not just a test date? As a daily weigher, batch-to-batch consistency matters more to me than site ETA hype.
One thing I’d add to the checklist: ask for the order confirmation screenshot with the exact SKU/formula version, not just a cart pic. I’ve been burned on group buys where the COA was for the old formula and the tub shipped was the reformulated one. Also, what’s the best-by date and how was it stored? My kids’ snack drawer is chaos, but supplements live in a cool cabinet. If it’s been baking in a garage since spring, no COA is saving that.
Two things I’d add to the group-buy doc: return/refund terms in writing—opened vs unopened, who pas return shipping, whether heat-damaged tubs count—and COA test date vs manufacture/lot date. If the COA predates the batch or has no lab report ID to verify directly, that’s a no from me. Vendors who can’t produce timelines in writing usually can’t produce consistency either.
Not a COA thing, but for a split: does the lot code show up on every individual tub/bag, or only the master case? If it’s just the case, most people in a group buy can’t tie their unit to any COA. I’ve done splits before and that was the detail that bit us. Also curious if anyone’s noticed lot-to-lot variance in mixability or texture—that’s the kind of noise I try not to overread, same as my daily weigh-ins. I just watch the trend line and shrug at one-off weirdness.
One thing I’d want that hasn’t come up: whether the COA is for the raw ingredient or the finished lot. In the trials I’ve seen on protein powders, a lot of brands test incoming whey/isolate, then COA the batch without finished-product heavy metals or micros. Ask for Pb/Cd/As/Hg and micro results per lot, plus the assay with a stated uncertainty, not just “pass.” And do they publish lot-specific expiry dates? That’s usually where the docs get vague.
One thing I’ve learned from splits: ask for the actual manufacture or best-by date on current stock, not just the batch paperwork. I’m maintaining now, so I don’t burn through product fast, and I’ve had a tub sit long enough to taste stale before I opened it. If they can’t tell you the age or send a dated warehouse photo, I’d wait. Also, ask whether they ship the sealed case as-is or repack—repacked orders are where I’ve seen mix-ups in scoop size and net weight.
Hi all—brand new here (week one) and this thread is already so helpful. One thing I haven’t seen yet: does anyone check the inner safety seal and whether the powder arrives clumped/caked? I weigh my scoops for tracking, so moisture or a compromised seal would worry me in a split. Would it be reasonable to ask the organizer for a quick unboxing photo/video showing the seal intact before dividing? Sorry if that’s obvious—just trying not to be the nervous newbie who misses something.
Splits always sound easy till someone’s tub shos a different lot than the COA 😂
I snap the tub label beore any split now—learned that the
Systems take: their COA page looks like product-level PDFs, not a lot-number search. So before a group buy, I’d make the organizer email support with the exact lot and ask for the matching COA, lab name, method, and test date—then screenshot the reply. I track received orders in a sheet: lot, COA date, test date, lab, method. Anyone actually gotten a lot-specific COA from them lately, or is it still the same generic file for every batch? That’s the bottleneck for me.
I've been through a couple group buys where the COA was product-level and the actual lot was a few digits off, so now I ask the organizer to email Swolverine directly for the lot-specific sheet before money changes hands. Took about two days last time. If they won't or can't, that's my answer. Anyone actually gotten a lot-matched PDF from them recently, or is it still product-level only?
Night shift here, so meetups are a pain. Last split I did, the organizer opened the seal and rebagged into plain ziplocks. No lot, no date, nothing. COA was useless at that point. Now I only do sealed tubs, even if it costs more. My rule: if they won't ship it sealed with the lot visible, I'm out. Anyone else ask for a photo of the actual tub before sending cash? Not the catalog pic.
Yeah, if the COA isn’t tied to the lot, I’m out—
Yeah, product-level COAs are a hard pass for me too. Not worth the gamble.
I’m weirdly meticulous with group buys now: I log order date, outer box label, and lot number photos in a shared spreadsheet before anything gets split. Last split, the lot was only on the shipping carton, not the bottle, so once the carton was tossed we had zero traceability. Does Swolverine print the lot on the actual bottle label too? And does the packing slip match it? If not, I’d rather pass than untangle that later.
I’d push past the COA itself: ask for the lab’s ISO 17025 scope and the raw chromatogram, not the summary PDF. Check whether the sample receipt date trails the manufacturing/lot date—if the lab got the sample before the batch existed, that COA is decorative. Also match lot font/placement on your vial photos against the COA photos; group-buy splits sometimes reuse a clean COA across lots. Has anyone actually requested the full data package, or just the pass/fail sheet?
Ooh, one more thing I check before any group buy: the actual manufacture date on the tub vs. the outer case. Last time, the case was fresh but individual tubs were 8 months old. I track that in a shared sheet now—saved us from a split where two people got short-dated product. Anyone else seeing that lately with recent Swolverine orders?
