Empty nester here, stuck comparing shots and surgery

Hi all. I’m 56, and our youngest left for college 13 months ago. I’ve been trying to restart my health: 30-minute walks four mornings a week, cooking more fish and roasted veggies, and I’m down 19 pounds since January — about one jeans size. But I keep going back and forth on the bigger question. I read the latest comparisons between medication and bariatric surgery, and honestly, both have pros and cons that make my head spin. Part of me wishes I’d done surgery years ago; another part likes that the medication path feels adjustable and fits my new routines. I’m not asking for medical advice, just wondering how others in this community made peace with the choice. Did you pick one path and stop second-guessing, or do you still wonder about the road not taken?
