I started writing one weight per morning in a cheap spiral notebook — no app, no account, no syncing. Day 63 today.
Some mornings the number jumps 1.4 pounds after a salty dinner and I just write it down and move on; the four-week rolling average is what I actually look at, and it's been drifting down about 0.4 a week since spring.
The strange part is how much quieter my head got once the entry took ten seconds. No streaks to protect, no badge to lose.
I also jot one word beside each number — restless, fine, hungry — and that column has taught me more than the weight column ever did. Anyone else find the homemade version sticks better than the polished one?
