A photo from before didn’t wreck my 30-day average

I found a three-year-old photo folder while deleting apps off my phone, and it knocked the wind out of me for a second. Same kitchen, same terrible overhead light, different person. I felt sentimental, then weirdly proud, then just quiet. This morning the scale was up 0.6 lb from yesterday, but my 30-day average is still drifting down, so I logged it and moved on. That old photo didn’t need to be a before/after prop. It was just a Tuesday I survived. I’m trying to let old versions of me be people, not benchmarks. Anybody else keep old photos around as neutral artifacts instead of ammunition?
