My resting heart rate beat my weight to the punch

I still step on the scale every morning, but I’m a trend-line person now: I look at the 10-day average, not the daily wiggles. This week the thing that actually made me grin was my watch showing my resting heart rate down from 78 to 66 since I started paying attention 11 weeks ago. My weight is down 19 lbs, and some mornings it’s up 1.5 and I barely blink. But climbing the hill by my house without stopping to pretend I’m checking my phone? That felt bigger. I logged it under “wins that aren’t pounds.” Anyone else have a metric or moment that quietly outran the scale?
