Conference headlines call it solved; my log disagrees

I read a few EASD recap posts this morning before work. Same energy as every big meeting: a beautiful curve on a slide, a panel saying the biology is basically mapped, and comments extrapolating that into next year.

I’ve been here since the 2023 shortage threads, so I’m not cynical—just slower to update. My own data is 21 months of weekly weigh-ins, two maintenance resets, and a food log that still shows Friday nights as my loudest meal.

The medications changed the slope. They didn’t erase the months of repeating the same boring things.

If the equation is solved, why does my March-to-June chart look like a parking garage ramp? Maybe I’m missing what the conference crowd means by solved.

Are you reading those recaps as practical news, or as background noise until it shows up in a pharmacy fridge? I’m curious which threads from that meeting have held up for people here.
