Three years into this, I mostly trust my routine, but every so often an old food sneaks back in and surprises me. This week it was raisin bran. I grabbed a box for my partner, then ended up eating a bowl with plain Greek yogurt instead of milk because I wanted the protein to carry me to lunch.
Two cups of cereal, a little yogurt, and a handful of frozen blueberries. It kept me full until almost 1, which is rare for me on a work-from-home morning.
Past threads here have talked about meals getting boring, and I get that. But I forgot how nice it is when something plain and almost nostalgic just works.
No reinvention, no elaborate prep. Just a bowl, a spoon, and one less decision before my first call.
Anyone else have an old staple quietly re-enter the lineup?
