Coffee is still my morning anchor, just smaller and slower

Honestly, i’m about 13 months into maintenance after losing 70 lbs, and coffee has become my strangest little marker. Before, I’d brew a full pot and drink most of it before lunch—two heavy mugs with cream, then another at 2 p.m. just because the mug was there. These days I make a two-cup French press, drink one slowly, and often forget the second until it’s lukewarm. The taste isn’t ruined, exactly; it’s more that the old urgency is gone. I also notice caffeine feels stronger, so I stop earlier or I’ll be wired at bedtime. I miss the all-day sipping habit a bit, but I don’t miss the acid stomach or the crash. The ritual still starts my day, just quieter. For those of you maintaining: did your coffee routine settle into a new shape, or did it go back to old levels eventually?
