My Barrett’s scope was clear and I still felt off

tuesday was my Barrett’s surveillance endoscopy, and it was the first one since I started a GLP-1 fourteen months ago. Prep was a mess: no coffee, no morning shake, and I spent the wait rereading the same intake form.

My GI said the segment looks unchanged and no dysplasia, so I left relieved but weirdly flat. The part nobody warns you about is the emotional whiplash — good scope news, then I stepped on my home scale and it was the same 191 I’ve seen for five weeks.

My reflux has actually been calmer since I raised the head of my bed and stopped eating after 8, which is the win I’m trying to hold onto. Anyone else have surveillance scopes land right in the middle of a long stall and find the clear result hard to celebrate?
