Back for round two, and I stood up without the counter

this isn't a scale thing, so it's going here instead of my log.

Second go at this for me. First round, I lost about 55 pounds over a year and change, felt unstoppable, then my dad had a stroke, I switched jobs, and drive-thru dinners became the default again. Most of it came back. Restarting was humbling, and I avoided my annual checkup for two years out of pure dread.

Four months back on medication, 19 pounds down so far. Tonight I crouched to grab the big stockpot from the low cabinet and just stood back up. No hand braced on the counter, no planning the motion first. I didn't register it until I was already upright holding the pot.

Small, and kind of silly. But two years ago that was a whole production. I still second-guess my own body a lot, and there's plenty left to go. Apparently things change underneath even when the scale sits still for a stretch.

What tiny thing snuck up on you lately?
