Honestly, i’m 53, the kid is out of the house, and I started this in June. Last week I sat in a salon chair for a real cut instead of my usual trim-and-leave. It felt like a restart, not a reinvention.
Milestone list: Good: walked 4 of 7 mornings before breakfast; cooked two new soups and froze half; booked the haircut. Bad: still graze at 9 p.m. when the kitchen is too quiet; skipped two walks after poor sleep. Numbers: down 18 lbs since June, waist tape down 2 inches, haircut was 6 inches off. Scale was flat this week, which annoyed me less than it would have in spring.
Anyone else mark a non-scale change with something as ordinary as a haircut?
