Day seven lands on Sunday and I’m weirdly nervous

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I’m brand new and only started on Monday, so Sunday will be day seven. My tiny goal was just to get through one full week without late-night takeout and to actually drink water with dinner. I managed five nights with no late-night order, and two nights were a bit wobbly but not terrible. I know that’s not a real weight goal, but I’d like to mark Sunday somehow. I don’t want to celebrate with a huge meal because I’m nervous it’ll feel like too much, and I don’t want to wake up the old binge habits. What do you all do for small early milestones? A bath, a library book, fancy sparkling water, a walk somewhere pretty? I’m probably overthinking it. Thanks for having me.

I’m reading this from an airport gate, so my Sunday nerves usually hit at the hotel vending-machine hour. One thing that helped me: I made a tiny “landing routine” for travel nights—sparkling water first, then if I still want something, I brush my teeth and put on the dumb hotel robe. Sounds silly, but it breaks the late-night takeout autopilot. Also I track it as a yes/no in my notes app, not calories. Five yeses and two wobbles is a solid first week. What’s your specific danger window on Sunday—after dinner, or later when you’re bored/scroll-y?

Welcome, and Sunday as day seven is a real milestone—not weird at all. What helped me early on was keeping the tracking almost boring: I made water with dinner a 16-ounce glass already on the table, and I marked a dot on the calendar if I finished it. For the late-night window, I aimed to finish dinner by 7:30 and kept a mug of herbal tea for the 9 p.m. stretch. I look at weekly averages, so five good nights and two wobbly ones still counts as a decent week. What time do you usually eat dinner? That seems to be the hinge for me.
