My weight trend moved after I stopped checking daily

For what it's worth, i had five or so weeks where the trend line was basically a narrow shelf. Same food framework, same walking, same GLP-1 schedule, so I didn’t panic. In the trials, the average curve still has plenty of flat stretches, and single weekly numbers are noisy. What I changed wasn’t dramatic: I only stepped on the scale Monday and Friday, always after waking and before coffee, and I tracked a 7-day average instead of reacting to each morning. I also added a 15-minute loop after lunch on workdays. This week the average dropped 0.8 kg, and my waist tape showed 2 cm less than when the shelf started. Could be the walking, could be water, could just be the trend catching up. For the data-minded folks here, does less frequent weighing make the signal easier to see?

Hi, I’m brand new here—just finished week one and already nervous-posting. This is so reassuring. I’ve been hopping on daily, and it’s making me a little obsessive, so I’m thinking of copying your Mon/Fri thing. One small thing I started: I keep a note on my phone with just two non-scale clues—how my rings fit and whether my afternoon energy slump hits. It gives me something to look at when the number stalls. Do you weigh first thing both days, or Friday before the weekend? I’m trying to figure out a schedule that doesn’t make me dread the scale. Thanks for posting this.

That Monday/Friday plan makes sense if you compare like with like. In my experience Friday can sit 2–3 lb under Monday just from weekday routine vs weekend sodium/carbs, so Friday-to-Friday is less misleading. I also started tracking waist and how clothes fit during a six-week flat stretch, and those moved before the scale did. Quick question: when you say trend line, are you using a 7-day rolling average or just eyeballing the two weekly points? And which trial’s average curve are you thinking of? The published group means look flat, but individual patterns vary a lot.
