Maintenance, month 14 for me. Down around 90 lbs, and I've been holding inside a 4-lb band since last spring.
Yesterday my niece wanted to play on the living room rug. I sat down next to her without a second thought, and maybe twenty minutes later I stood up — mid-sentence, still talking — and only realized afterward what had happened. No rocking forward, no hand on the coffee table, no quiet countdown in my head. My body just did the thing.
It's funny what gets me now. Not the scale, not the goal-weight badge in the app. Just movement that stopped being a project.
Early on I used to plan floor-sitting like a logistics exercise. Which chair, how close, whether my knees would cooperate on the way back up. I'd forgotten that version of me existed until yesterday.
For anyone still in the thick of it: the automatic stuff is coming. It tends to show up quietly, well after the numbers have already moved.
What's the last thing your body did without asking permission first?
