The tape measure moved, the scale is still sulking

Eleven weeks parked at 184, give or take the same 1.2 pounds sloshing back and forth. I've done the boring stuff the whole time: protein at breakfast, a 40-minute walk after dinner, the water bottle on my desk that I actually finish, lights out before 11 on most nights. Scale says nothing. Photos look identical.

My waist tape moved a quarter inch, which I'm choosing to count because something has to count.

I'm not quitting, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't glaring at the bathroom floor like it owes me money. What keeps me steady is the unglamorous stuff — stairs don't make my knees complain anymore, I stopped keeping crackers in the car, and I can eat half a restaurant portion and feel genuinely done.

For anyone who's been parked this long: did yours ever break on its own, or did you have to change something on purpose? I keep flip-flopping between holding steady and poking at the whole routine.
