Trying to decide if this pace is the boring kind of fine

The rolling average says sixteen pounds off since March, roughly 0.9 a week. Nothing dramatic on any single morning, but the slope is smooth — no vertical drops, no rebounds.

What I keep reminding myself: in the trials, average loss shakes out to something in that neighborhood per week once you spread it across the whole run. That's a group mean, not a promise about any given week. Mine has looked like 1.4 one Monday and 0.2 the next.

Concrete stuff: I compare Monday averages instead of daily numbers, tape the waist every other Sunday, aim for ~120g protein, and walk after dinner. That combination seems to be what keeps the slope from getting weird.

Where I'm stuck is the mental part. The arithmetic says steady, appetite is quieter, sleep is fine — and yet some part of me wants a bigger number to prove it's working. Anyone else had to talk themselves out of "too slow" when the slope was actually right on track?
