I hit my goal in early 2023 and I've been hovering in the same four-pound window ever since. The part nobody warned me about is that the interesting part ends. No more big drops, no dramatic reveals. Just a Tuesday where the number is 168, a Friday where it's 170, and neither one meaning much.
What kept me sane was choosing a range instead of a number. Mine is 166 to 171. Inside that, I change nothing. If I sit at the top for more than a week or two, I go back to weighing food for a while and add a walk after dinner. That's the entire system. It isn't exciting.
I still keep a protein shake in the car because I forget to eat on busy days, and I still check in with my prescriber a couple of times a year. Boring, but boring is the whole point at this stage.
For the folks a few years out: does a range work for you, or do you need a hard line you don't cross?
