Building a no-cook protein shelf that isn't just shakes

My appetite has been flat in the evenings, so I’ve been testing a desk-drawer protein setup instead of relying on takeout. Right now it’s a pouch of tuna, roasted edamame snack packs, a shelf-stable milk carton, and one ready-to-drink shake.

That’s roughly 20–30 g per item, but two of them need 200+ calories to get there, which feels like a bad trade on days I’m not hungry. The tuna is the only one that actually feels like food.

I’m not looking for hype—just things that don’t need a stove, microwave, or fridge, and that I’ll still eat when my stomach is half asleep. What are your no-cook backups, and do you check protein per calorie or just total grams?

If you’ve compared a few, what made the cut after a month?
