Lost 42 pounds back in 2023, held it about eight months, then life got messy and 30 of it came back. Restarted in January, down 11 so far.
Here's the pattern I keep catching: right around the two-week mark of doing well, I do something small and dumb. Last Tuesday I ate a whole sleeve of crackers standing at the counter at 10pm. Not hungry. Just there. Then Wednesday I skipped my walk because I'd "already wrecked the week." Honestly the skipping scares me more than the crackers — that story where one slip voids everything.
So I'm trying something boring: log it, go to bed, do the normal thing the next morning instead of waiting for Monday to restart. Two days in a row of that, which is two more than usual.
Anyone else notice they panic right before a milestone? I'm four pounds from the first goal I set and I can feel myself getting twitchy about it.
