Nine weeks in, feeling good but labs are weird

Hey everyone — 41, work nights in a warehouse, two kids, so sleep is whatever I can get. Been chipping away at the weight since late January, mostly because my knees were done with me. Down about 14 lbs and lifting twice a week when the schedule allows. Odd thing: my CRP came back higher than my last draw. Doc shrugged it off. Anyone else see inflammation markers jump early on when you're dropping weight and adding training? Not panicking, just curious.

The CRP jump with 3x/week lifting is common. Mine went 0.6 to 2.1 when I added squats.

What was your CRP before? 0.8 isn't high.

I disagree. A doubling in 9 weeks is still worth tracking.

Tracking yes, panicking no. Sleep debt spikes mine more than any training block.

Sleep is the big one for me too. Under 7h and my CRP doubles.

I had a similar puzzle at week 10. Fasting glucose improved, CRP rose, and I panicked. Turned out hard lifting 4x/week, a mild cold, and less sleep were the mix. I kept calories steady, added a deload week, and retested 3 weeks later. CRP was 0.9. Not saying that's your case, but single labs are messy. Track trends, not one draw. If you're eating more dairy or processed carbs, that can shift things for some people.

A mild cold can do it. Mine hit 3.1 after a head cold and back to 1.0 two weeks later.

The hard lifting 4x/week angle makes sense. What's your split?

Stress over diet for me too. My CRP tracks work weeks more than macros.

That matche smy n=1. Busy month, no diet change, CRP 0.7 to 1.8. Vacation fixed it.

The glucose drop is the win. Don't let one marker derail a cut that's working.

Were you fatsed and hydrated for both draws? I'd retest in 4-6 weeks before changing much.
