Third-party testing: do you verify the lab or just shrug?

I travel most weeks, so my whole routine lives in a carry-on and a notes app: protein options by hotel, shake packets, and a tiny scale that has seen too many bathroom counters. Lately I keep wondering how people vet the independent testing behind a batch.

I've seen certificates with a lab name, a QR code, and a shiny seal — but no sample ID I can match to my actual bottle. Is that normal? Do you check whether the lab is accredited, email the lab, or just treat the paperwork as one more thing to pack?

I'm not trying to turn this into a forensic audit. I'd just like my confidence to be based on something sturdier than a nice graphic.
