Third-party vs in-house COAs — does depth actually matter?

Some vendors provide in-house COAs, others use third-party labs. In-house is cheaper for the vendor but obviously less trustworthy — ymmv. Which vendors actually provide proper third-party testing? Third-party from an ISO 17025 accredited lab is the gold standard. I've found maybe 3-4 that do it consistently.
