New in week one and already overwhelmed by peptide names

Hi everyone, I'm brand new here and just finished my first week on a GLP-1. I'm 42, starting weight 218, and down 2.5 lbs, probably mostly water. I've been reading older threads at night and keep seeing IGF-1 LR3 mentioned, and honestly it makes me feel behind and a little nervous. I don't even know what half the acronyms mean yet. Is it normal to feel overwhelmed in week one? I'm just trying to focus on protein, water, and a 15-minute walk after dinner. Thanks for being kind - I'm shy about asking dumb questions.

IGF-1 LR3 is a bodybuilding rabbit hole, not a GLP-1 thing — it pops up in the same search results because forum SEO doesn't care about your goals. Different tool, different objective. Not your poblem this week. What helped me early: one spreadsheet, four columns. Morning weight, protein grams, steps, weekly waist measurement. Weight is noisy, so I only react to the 7-day average. The other three tell me whether I'm actually losing fat or just water and muscle. Are you tracking anything yet, or just the scale? Scale-only gets demoralizing around week three when the water whoosh stops.

Totally normal. Week one is chaos. I stopped reading peptide threads entirely and made a one-page note: Sunday morning weigh-in average, waist at navel, 4 lifting sessions (squat/bench/row/RDL), protein at each meal, sleep hours, step count. That’s the whole dashboard. If weight stalls but waist and lifts trend up, that’s recomp, not failure. The acronyms can wait. What does your current training week look like? That’ll tell you way more than any peptide name.
