Annual labs came back last week, and two numbers did things I didn't predict. I'm 19 months into maintenance after losing 63 lb. My A1c and triglycerides finally look boring, which I expected. The odd ones: ferritin came back lower than it was at my heaviest, and HDL slid a few points even though I walk more and lift three days a week. My doctor just said, 'Interesting, let's recheck in a few months,' so I'm not spiraling. I ate the same breakfast for probably 300 mornings, so I doubt it's a sudden diet thing. Maybe it's age, training volume, or just noise. For those further out, did any routine labs zig when you thought they'd zag in maintenance?
