Almost a year on this, and the last stretch is stubborn

I hit my one-year mark with the pharmacy next month and I can't decide if I'm proud or just irritated. Down 61 pounds, which is real and I'm not going to wave it off. But the last four months have been almost comically flat — 218 in April, 216.5 this morning, with plenty of bounce in between. I lift three mornings a week, walk the dog 40 minutes most evenings, and I've been hovering around 130g of protein since February. My measurements haven't moved since early May.

The strange part is I feel better than the chart suggests. Hills that used to make me stop for air don't anymore. Resting heart rate is down about nine beats. I wake up before my alarm most days.

So I'm not quitting. I'm just recalibrating what a win looks like for the next stretch. Anyone else cross the one-year line and find the second year needs a totally different scorecard?
