The Wednesday line saved me from a weird Thursday spike

I'm a daily weigher, but not a daily reactor. My real check-in is Wednesday after supper, when I pull up the last seven mornings and look at the direction, not the dot. This week I saw 212.6, 214.7, 213.4, 213.1, 212.9, 212.5, 212.3. That one big jump came after a late ramen bowl, and the line just kept easing down 0.6 lb overall. Nothing heroic happened. I hit my water, took two normal walks, and didn't turn the kitchen upside down over a salty Tuesday. The calm part for me is deciding ahead of time that daily numbers are weather and the weekly line is climate. If I only checked once a week, that 214.7 would've felt like a verdict. Instead it was just a blip with a story I already knew. Anyone else have a specific day or trigger for their check-in that keeps them from over-reading the scale?
