Three dry-erase checkmarks on my fridge calendar

I’m deep in one of those plateaus where the scale has been parked in the same two-pound range for about ten weeks, and I’m trying not to let it turn me into a spreadsheet goblin. What’s actually helping is stupidly low-tech: a laminated index card taped inside my kitchen cabinet with three boxes — protein at breakfast, a ten-minute walk after lunch, water before coffee.

I fill the boxes with a dry-erase marker.

No calories, no macros, no color coding. If I get all three, the day counts. Some days only get one box and I leave it alone.

It hasn’t cracked the plateau, but it keeps me from abandoning the whole week because Tuesday was messy. Curious what tiny tracking system other people use when the scale is being rude but you still want some evidence you’re not just trading water.
