When will my brain quit doing the grocery-store math?

i’m seven months in, down 38 pounds. I thought once the scale started cooperating, my brain would stop narrating every meal. Nope. I was at the local pharmacy picking up a refill, and the tech asked if I wanted the text when insurance clears, and I realized I’d already planned three dinners around whether that box would be in my fridge. Not because I’m starving — just because the what-if loop is still there. I don’t white-knuckle the way I did in January, and I’m not counting every bite like a hawk, but the background math hasn’t fully quit. Does it eventually turn into a quiet hum? Or do you just stop minding it? I’d take any small-town pharmacy-counter wisdom you’ve got.
