My 15-second voice memo log is way less annoying than my old spreadsheet

i’m in a dorm with a mini fridge, a microwave, and exactly one good knife, so my cheap-protein rotation is eggs, canned tuna, Greek yogurt, and lentils. My useful tool is embarrassingly low-tech: after a meal I record a 15-second voice memo on my phone.

I say what I ate, how hungry I was before and after on a 1–10 scale, and whether I’d actually make it again. Once a week I skim them and put a tally on a paper notebook page.

After 14 days, I’ve learned that my late-night starving feeling is often boredom plus no protein at lunch. The memos are faster than a spreadsheet and less fake than trying to reconstruct a whole day at midnight.

Anyone else keep a dumb-simple log that survives dorm chaos?
