New here, week one, and already confused by stack talk

Hi everyone, I’m brand new here and just finished my first week. I’m 5’4”, starting around 212 lbs, and my only habits so far are 80 oz of water, a 20-minute walk after dinner, and trying to get 30g protein at breakfast. I keep seeing people mention Reta, Tesa, Mots-c, AOD 9604, and other stack ideas, and honestly it makes my head spin. I’m not asking for a plan or anything—just wondering if anyone else felt overwhelmed at the beginning and chose to keep things simple for a while? I’m nervous about doing too much too soon, and I’d love to hear how you paced yourself emotionally in week one. Thanks for being kind; I’m still figuring out how to post here.

Welcome. Week one is data collection, not optimization. I’m 5’5” and I track weekly averages, not daily weight — daily swings from water/sodium will mess with your head. My sheet: date, weight, waist, protein grams, water oz, walk minutes, cost per week. For the first month I only change two variables at a time. At your stats, 30g protein at breakfast is a solid anchor; I’d also glance at total protein by dinner. Sharp question: are you tracking waist or just scale? I’d mute the stack threads for 30 days and compare your own week 1 vs week 4 averages instead.
