Thinking about PEG-MGF for recovery while on tirzepatide

47M, 14 weeks on tirzepatide 7.5 mg, down 17 lb, lifting 3x/week. Recovery has been the bottleneck, so I looked into PEG-MGF. The human data are thin, mostly anecdotal, and I’m not comfortable guessing at frequency or timing—especially with the extended half-life and unknowns around tissue proliferation. My pragmatic take: until there’s credible body-composition or safety data in people, it’s a hard no for me. I’m sticking with protein, sleep, and deload weeks. Curious if anyone here has tracked objective metrics on it—DEXA, labs, lifts—and actually seen something repeatable?

Fellow regainer here. The half-life/unknowns part is what stops me too. What actually moved the needle for my recovery on a GLP-1 was boring and trackable: sleep, protein, and total training stress. I drpped from 3 brutal full-body days to 2 hard sessions + 1 easy pump day, and my soreness finally stopped bleeding into the next workout. I also realized I was accidentally in a huge deficit—low appetite made me under-eat carbs, and my sleep/HRV showed it. Have you tracked protein and sleep for a couple weeks? If those are already solid, then maybe the peptide rabbit hole is more tempting, but I’d exhaust the boring stuff first.
