Old stash lab numbers ruined my dorm-fridge confidence

I’m a dorm kid who treats protein like a budget boss fight: tuna packets, rice cooker lentils, whatever yogurt is marked down. I also keep a Sharpie-dated box in the mini fridge because past-me thought he was organized.

Paid for a private test on a batch that was about three months old and had been moved between two dorm fridges during a break.

The report came back roughly 10% under label, and my first thought was not science — it was 'cool, so my storage skills are a group project with entropy.' Not asking for dosing or sourcing. More wondering whether other broke students track this stuff or just accept the mystery.

I’ve started writing dates on everything and doing a monthly look at what’s oldest, which is a small win, even if it makes my fridge look like a tiny evidence board.

Mild frustration: I could’ve spent that test money on eggs. Anyone else keep a 'use this first' box and actually obey it?
